Cedar Key Kennels

We are a small kennel based primarily in central Florida with an additional location in central Virginia focusing on high quality conformation dogs. With our strong ties to the equine community, we have enjoyed bringing our dogs to horse events and in 2006 we entered the AKC Conformation events with Kimberwick Back in Black, “Diesel.” Diesel decided he like agility more than conformation, so his AKC modeling experience was limited. In 2015, “Bronson,” CH Tealwood Who Needs To Study (Tyric Tealwood’s Quick Study x Tealwood’s Add A Step To The Strutt) joined our house from Tealwood Kennel. “Bronson” is now an AKC champion won several Owner-Handler Group placings with very limited showing. 

So where did the Beagle connection come in? Well, on a trip to Westminster with Bronson, I received a request from a friend abroad that needed help getting a Beagle over to her international transporter. This was the start of my connection with Chaucer Kennels in the Philippines. Two years later, Philppine CH, Hall of Fame winner Chaucer Hadassah “Dassah” joined us in the US in May 2019. She quickly finished her AKC Championship and that was the start to our beagle connection.
