“Callie”
Black, carrying chocolate · DOB 2/14/2018
Sire: Anguk Black Haka
Dam: Loremar Princesa Naku
CHIC #206711 · Bred by Loremar Labradors
Breeding Rationale
This was Cedar Key’s foundational breeding — the first opportunity to see what Callie and our resident boy Bronson would produce together. More than a single litter, it was a diagnostic step: an honest assessment of both dogs’ strengths and any areas for development, and the data point that would shape the direction of the entire program going forward.

“Callie”

CHIC #206711
WB at LRCP Fall Specialty (4-point major)
Breeding Rationale
With a clear read on Callie’s strengths after the 2021 litter, this breeding was made with specific structural goals in mind. The priority was shortening Callie’s back and improving the angulation in her rear, while preserving the attributes she reliably produces — most notably her level topline on the move and her beautiful, typey head. JJ was selected as a complement to Callie’s virtues and a correction to her areas for improvement.

Ex CH Loremar Black Quetzalli of Cedar Key
OFA health-tested & cleared
Breeding Rationale
For Zephyr’s first litter, the goal was to infuse working drive into the offspring. By crossing Cedar Key’s show-bred female with a SH-titled chocolate male, the intent was to produce puppies with both the conformation foundation Zephyr carries and a heightened field-drive aptitude. This was an exploratory breeding to test how that balance would express in the next generation.

Final litter
Breeding Rationale
For Callie’s farewell breeding, GCH Belquest Conclusion Another Round of Tito’s was selected to complement and build on everything Callie has consistently produced. At the time of the breeding I was a co-owner of Tito and he fit the criteria I was looking for. With Callie being the cornerstone dam of the Cedar Key program (contributing four AKC Champions including a Crufts Reserve CC winner), this final pairing was made with an eye toward securing her legacy in the next generation.
